The ChrisTmas Cross

The Chrismas Cross

by Louise Bergmann DuMont

No matter how glittery the tinsel, no matter how bright the lights – the cross still sits in the center of Christmas.

No matter how delightful the carols, no matter how bedecked the halls – the cross still sits in the center of Christmas.

No matter how rich the fruitcake, no matter how grand the feast – the cross still sits in the center of Christmas.

No matter how warm the hearth, no matter how joyous the celebration – the cross still sits in the center of Christmas.

No matter how impressive the gifts, no matter how generous our bequests – the cross still sits in the center of Christmas.

For Christmas is not about what we do – it is about what He did.
